Two men on board a boat with engine problems in the Caribbean signalled for help with a flare before being rescued by the Coast Guard.
One day in December, the Coast Guard was notified that two people were on board the CK, which was drifting between Saint Eustatius and Saint Barts.
A Coast Guard patrol boat sailed immediately to the area and the Metal Shark boat crew saw a red flare. It found the CK and brought the boat and its passengers to Simpson Bay in Saint Maarten.
